How to participate in the Youth Day
Who can apply for participation (selection criteria)
1 – Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD students
2 – Being under 26 years old inclusively at the time of the event
3 – Knowledge of English (Intermediate and upper) is obligatory
4 – Having interest in energy studies, willingness to develop professionally in energy sector
5 – Project experience / participation in olympiads (preferred)
6 – Communication skills and willingness to work in an international team
Stages of the Youth Day
Candidates who meet the selection criteria are welcome to apply for participation until 13 July 2026. After 13 July, all applicants will receive a link to the entrance test which they will have to pass to be enrolled at the Virtual Business Lab. Test results are to be announced on 15 July.
Virtual Business Lab unites Educational and Selection stages of the Youth Day. From 16 July to 3 August 2026, participants will attend webinars and complete individual assignments. On results of the education at the business lab and motivation described in the application form, up to 50 best students will be invited to the Youth Day of SPIGF.
The Youth Day of the 15th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum will take place in 2027* in St. Petersburg, Russia. Participants will visit the exhibition and the Plenary Session of SPIGF, attend workshops of leading industry experts, business game, project session, “off-tie meeting” with experts and heads of energy companies, career lounge, etc.
